Misty Mountain believes very strongly in premarital counseling. Due to the high divorce rate, we believe couples need as much help as possible in the area of relationship education and skills. We work closely with several local churches and often provide more in depth preparation that a pastor can provide. We will work closely with your pastor prior to the wedding. We also use the most highly researched curriculum such as PREP and PREPARE/ENRICH. We work with the couple in both preparation and relationship skill development. We are excited to be part of a recent movement across the country in which Marriage and Relationship Education is being required by pastors throughout communities across this country. Many pastors have joined together to sign Community Marriage Agreements. The pastors who sign these agreements commit to only marrying couples who have certain premarital counseling and education. These agreements also provide additional resources and referrals to marriage retreats, seminars etc. Misty Mountain whole heartedly supports these efforts both nationally and on a local level.
