We are located on the Olympic Peninsula near Olympic National Park, overlooking the Strait of Juan Defuca and Victoria, B.C. Our ten acres of quiet meadows, forested trails, and peaceful streams, is a place of quiet for couples who can benefit from a time of renewal, restoration and reconnection. Having couples get away from their normal everyday schedules, stress and environment, allows for accelerated healing and focused time that often is not found in traditional counseling. From mountains to ocean in minutes, outdoor activities are abundant and will be an added component of some programs. In addition, experiential outdoor activities will give couples the opportunity to apply what’s learned. |

Misty Mountain Family Enrichment Center and Misty Mountain Family Counseling Center are located in Portland, Oregon and in Port Angeles, Washington. We were incorporated as a tax exempt charitable non-profit agency in October of 2001, by our board of directors. Our Executive Director Greg Hasek, a licensed therapist with a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, had worked in the counseling and recreation fields for almost 20 years. In seeing how a camp/retreat center experience can impact relationships, he had the dream to combine professional counseling with the environment of a retreat center. Property was purchased in 2001, and the first phase of the building project is planned to be open in the summer of 2006. In 2004, we opened an Oregon office in Tigard to provide counseling. In addition, the Oregon office is doing work in community outreach, partnerships, and workshops at the local, state and national level. We are excited to announce that Misty Mountain Family Counseling Center has recently opened a new office in the Portland area with a larger facility to serve the growing need and challenges that individuals, couples and families face in the 21st century. |
