Our mission is to preserve and enrich couples and families by equipping and empowering them to overcome the relationship challenges they face in the 21st century that can lead to breakdown and divorce. |

Misty Mountain believes that God provides all truth and wisdom to understand brokenness whether physical or psychological. This includes the knowledge of psychological issues that may be affecting an individual, a relationship or family. Thus we believe in the importance of professional mental health counseling and psychiatry. We will refer to other professionals when assessed that is needed to achieve optimal health individually and in relationships.

Misty Mountain currently provides individual, premarital and marriage counseling out of our Oregon office. In the future, the retreat center in Washington State will provide retreats for couples to heal and recover from these difficult issues. Misty Mountain will determine what the best recommended type of treatment is to meet your unique need. In addition as part of our mission, Misty Mountain provides workshops, trainings, partnerships, and community action as we strive to make the greatest impact on a local, state and national level. Prevention programs are also offered through marriage education programs such PREP and Prepare/Enrich. Marriage Education materials are also used throughout the recovery process. |

All of our work falls under the umbrella of divorce prevention. Restoration and forgiveness in marriage is a crucial part. Misty Mountain believes there are exceptions when divorce is called for such as in the example of abuse and adultery without repentance. |
